Today is my Birthday. 69 Years old.

That’s my dog Petey several years back when she was in her prime. You don’t want to see what we look like now. Her ears got some sort of infection once, and now they are crumpled over. She has a couple big scars on her nose from valiantly protecting us from the local skunks.

Like I said, you don’t want to see us two old folks now.

But I want to say how great it is, what an honor to still be here alive and kicking. I think it’s kinda funny how we both walk funny. Stiffly discomboobulateted I would call it. She says it’s ruff! But we are happy to still be up and moving.

As we have aged we raised a nice group of grand kids. The scars are worth it.

So today I find out what it is like being on this earth for 69 years. I wish I could say that everyone gets a chance to do this. I feel thankful to be here with my wife, kids, and grand kids. My dog Petey and I are both celebrating life today.
